Giving Thanks at school

This week both of our big girls enjoyed Thanksgiving feasts at their schools.
Because they fell at roughly the same time on the same day, I could only attend one. And, since Maggie was in tow, I chose the one that was friendly to siblings... Claire's class.
Here's little Claire celebrating her first Thanksgiving feast at school. She was most impressed with the "turkey" which were actually chicken McNuggets someone elses mom bought. This was Claire's first time eating McDonalds, and she liked it a little too much.

Lilly had a great feast at school also and celebrated with chicken noodle soup, fruit salad, pie and all kinds of yummy food. Sorry I missed it! She was excited to show her head dress and vest she'd made for the big occasion...
Lilly says she has enjoyed learning about Indians and Programs (Pilgrims) this year.
Lilly brought home a turkey decorated with all of the things she is thankful for. On the turkey's four feathers she wrote she is thankful for, "God, Sun, Dad, Mom."
Claire was also asked what she is thankful for at school. Claire's turkey reads, "Claire is thankful for apple juice."
We are about to begin our big feast at home.
Happy Turkey Day, everyone!

Got Cocoa?

Who can survive our bitter cold winter (wink wink) without hot cocoa? The temperature has dipped down into the 60's, so we've pulled out the flannel sheets and bought cocoa. :)
The girls truly love cocoa and think they need a mug each day. And yes, it MUST be in a mug. The chilly duo has even been known to request it for breakfast. So here they are, enjoying every sip... and even the leftovers on the face.

Cocoa Sisters

It's a good thing they haven't learned the Latte Princess (aka Starbucks) sells cocoa at their drive-through. Let's keep that one a secret.
Here's to warm tummies!
