Garden Update

We planted the garden several weeks ago, have been watering it and are watching it grow. Here's a photo of Lilly just before we planted some seeds...
Lilly helped make little signs for the garden...
Our radishes are peeking through the ground and are almost ready to eat.
While we were taking these photos today, a few strawberries looked good enough to eat.
Lilly didn't hesitate to take a bite... nice, sweet and delish!
 We can't wait for more!!

Spring visitors

Over spring break, my mom, sister Amy and three nieces visited from Kansas. We had a great time, and Rob had an especially great time with 9 girls in the house. As you can imagine, the cousins played and played for hours on end; they were in heaven. Here are just a few photos from our fun weekend.
Nana and Claire were buddies, especially since Claire woke Nana at 5am to play with toys.
Lilly and Kate are 3 months apart and great friends.
Here's the oldest cousin, Emma, with the youngest cousin, Maggie.
Here are Nana's girls (minus Claire because she was in a bad mood). It's quite a funny shot considering Maggie is screaming at the top of her lungs and Lilly is trying to steal the shot.
What a fun time! We can't wait to see everyone again.

K-State's finest

We were all too excited when K-State made the NCAA tournament in Tucson. Tucson is, after all, just a hop skip and jump from our home. It was a given Rob would attend- come on, how often does your Alma mater play in your own backyard? This would also be a monumental event for Lilly- her first KSU sporting event, first NCAA tournament, first trip to Tucson... lots of fun, as you can imagine. We had talked up the game for several days, so Lilly was eager to hit the road to see the Cats. She dressed in purple and even took her KSU cheerleader doll.
Though the game was a loss for the Cats, it was a win for Lilly and Rob. They had a great time together, brought home a souvenir basketball and all kinds of memories. It was clear the experience made a big impression on little Lilly. And this morning Lilly reminded Rob, "Dad, you said you would put up a hoop in our backyard." Oh my, here we go!

Maggie- 10 weeks

Our lives have been blessed with 10 weeks of our little munchkin, Maggie. She is, by far, the easiest baby of the trio... easy to read and easy to please.
Here are some things she likes and dislikes:
Maggie likes:
1. To eat
2. To sleep
3. To lay in her crib and listen/watch her mobile
4. To ride in the car, as long as the car is moving
5. To ride in her stroller
6. To smile and interact with her sisters, especially Lilly
7. To be carried everywhere and sit in my lap while I'm on the computer.
8. Her pacifier
9. To be swaddled tight to sleep.
10. Her bath
11. To be sung to

Maggie dislikes:
1. Being hungry and tired
2. Quiet... she likes some noise, or at least the sound of a fan
3. Putting on new clothes- she always cries
4. When the car comes to a stop
5. A gassy belly

Gotta love that hair, Maggie!
While I was taking these photos of Maggie, Lilly walked in and wanted to be included. Claire was napping.
Lilly loves to hold Maggie, which always freaks me out. In this case, supervision is a must!
But, oh how cute they are...
After this photo, Lilly put Maggie in her bouncy. Then, Lilly proceeded to stick Maggie's hand in Maggie's mouth. When I asked her what on earth she was doing, she said, "When I was holding her, she wanted to eat her hand." Lilly is such a little mommy.

Funny Claire Story...

As Rob tucked Claire in bed last night he said, "Good night, Claire. I love you and am glad you are my little daughter." She looked at him and said, "I'm glad you are my brother."

Maggie's 5-week photo shoot

My friend Heather was gracious to take pictures of Miss Maggie at age 5 weeks. She did the same for Lilly and Claire at the same age. If you've been to our home, you've seen the giant canvas prints of the girls hanging in the hall... one of Maggie is on the way, thanks to Heather's great photography.
I thought you'd like to see some of our favorite photos from the photo shoot...
So serious...
Our girls...
Our family...
We are blessed, indeed.

Big Sis and Mid Sis

This morning, while Little Sis Maggie napped in her crib, Big and Mid Sis played with the camera in the backyard. I bribed them with mini marshmallows and managed to snap a few nice photos. I hope you enjoy...

Towards the end, we got a little giggly, especially when Claire decided to show Lilly the chewed up marshmallows that were in her mouth. Nice, Claire.
Love my girls!!
