Okay, okay, this post is long over due. Maggie is 4 months old... here's a little of what she's been up to. At her 4 month well-check, she weighed 17 pounds- was 95th percentile for height and weight, 75th percentile for head circumference. She wasn't thrilled about receiving her 4 month vaccines, but at least she didn't throw a literal kicking, screaming fit like her sister (I took Lilly at the same time to get her kindergarten shots. I just about had to sit on Lilly for them to give her the shots- embarrassing.)
This is where Maggie has spent many an hour over the last 4 months... on my lap, asleep on the bobby, while I worked on my computer. I was lucky to teach all online this spring- great flexibility for my little newborn. She especially liked it when I worked on the blog.
She still likes the bath, even if she has to share with her two older sisters.
Look Mom, I can roll over! Maggie can move from her back to her side to her belly. In fact, she prefers sleeping on her side nowadays. The swaddle is long gone.
The other night we even tried her in the exersaucer. Lilly and Claire were just as entertained as Maggie was, it seemed. I'm going to have to watch Maggie like a hawk when she's in the saucer. I turned by back only for a second and Lilly tried to spin the saucer like a top- with Maggie inside. On the tile it went pretty fast. I chucked only for a second before my mommy voice took over...
"Absolutely NOT, Lilly!"
Other news... we have moved beyond rice cereal to peas and sweet potatoes. Cereal was too blah.
I still can't get Lilly or Claire to try the peas. Imagine that.
Oh, and during Maggie's 4 month appointment, the doctor looked in her mouth and noticed she had a nice case of thrush. She had been a bit irritable, but I didn't notice any white spots in her mouth- how terrible. Maggie is currently enjoying 14 days of antibiotics. Nice.
