While the rest of the country is icy and cold, we are relatively warm. It was cold today for us- high 40's, which is warm to many of you, but to us, it was a great day to bundle up, wear socks, and use the seat heaters in the car. Yesterday, while snow dumped across many states, we enjoyed 60 degree weather and endless sun; this gave Lilly another opportunity to ride her new wheels with Claire and Hannah in the culdesac. The sun was so bright, Claire had to squint...
Hannah, as stylish as always, in her new hat.
Lilly is quickly becoming a pro on her bike...
Once back inside, Lilly quickly became Maggie's shadow, following her around the house as I moved from room to room. Maggie took a break in her crib, and I found Lilly supervising to make sure Miss Maggie was resting comfortably. Lilly is definitely a "little mommy" and very helpful to me; every morning it seems she just can't wait to see what Maggie is doing (usually sleeping). When I change Maggie's diaper, Lilly pulls the little brown rocking chair over to the changing table to watch every move I make- too funny! Claire is a bit curious during diapering time also, but she is more interested in seeing Maggie's belly button- she was fascinated with the umbilical cord before it fell off.
And when Maggie is awake, Lilly is in heaven... all smiles to spend time with her. Claire is still pretty much uninterested, but Claire doesn't hesitate to tell me, "Mommy, Maggie is crying." Claire is really saying to me, "Make her stop!" Well, at least one of the sisters is smitten with Maggie. Here's the oldest with the littlest...
Oh the fun at the Z house!
